The name Stoned Ponies was derived from the original band, "Stone Poneys" formed in the mid 60s. Legendary Rockstar Linda Ronstadt was the lead singer of that group. A few years later the group's name was changed to Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys. She eventually had an amazing solo career and is now enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Additionally, the other reference that is equally as important to us is The Stone Pony club in Asbury Park, New Jersey. This iconic venue, which opened in 1974, launched the careers of several other rockstars. The Stone Pony was initially made famous on Memorial Day weekend in 1976 by Bruce Springsteen and his E-Street Band, featuring Steven Van Zant. About 1000 of us were there for that concert, which was an absolutely unforgettable event.

These two separate yet very connected names left indelible memories based on all of the incredible music. It reminded us of a very simple time, and it is exactly what encouraged us to adopt the name Stoned Ponies for our ultra premium line of infused cannabis products.
